Jobs today aren’t always easy to define. Just ask your kids to explain what you do.

In a recent survey of our past and present Thomson Reuters Reference Attorneys, we found that many chose to apply for this position as a unique way to use their legal background, and an opportunity to have more work-life balance. This balance tipped in favor many times of creating more time to spend with their children.

So, as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Thomson Reuters Reference Attorneys, we decided ask their kids “what does a Reference Attorney do?” What we learned was that, in the end, happy employees make happy kids. And also that solving mysteries, helping people, and maybe eating Pop Tarts, is what Reference Attorneys really do.
