Thomson Reuters Recognized as “Top Canadian Employer”
Thomson Reuters has been named one of “Canada’s Top 100 Employers” for 2017. The 17th annual list is a national competition to determine which employers lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees. The list is based on a review of independent research, a formal employer submission and employee engagement scores with organizations scored against eight categories:
- Physical Workplace
- Work Atmosphere and Social
- Health, Financial & Family Benefits
- Vacation and Time Off
- Communications
- Performance Management
- Training and Skills Development
- Community Involvement
Thomson Reuters Legal business has been on the list for the past eight years, but this is the first year that Thomson Reuters enterprise has landed on the index.
“This is such great recognition for Thomson Reuters in Canada,” said Neil Sternthal, managing director Legal and Tax & Accounting, Thomson Reuters Canada. “We spend so much of our time at work, so it is so important that our people feel engaged, respected and safe and that their work is meaningful across our entire enterprise.”
This recognition is particularly important to Thomson Reuters as the business launched the Thomson Reuters Labs in Waterloo in 2015 and looks to expand Canadian operations in 2017 with the opening of the new Toronto Technology Centre.
