Thomson Reuters has launched a new solution to streamline the identity verification process – CLEAR ID Confirm.

As part of the CLEAR online investigations suite, CLEAR ID Confirm leverages comprehensive, up-to-date public and proprietary data to enable organizations to verify an individual’s online identity, payee identity and customer identity. CLEAR ID Confirm is designed for customers in the banking/financial, insurance, retail/e-commerce and government sectors to offer an additional layer of risk protection, which can be of particular value in anti-money laundering/know your customer (KYC) requirements and fraud mitigation.

Customers can access public records data through CLEAR, Batch, or a tailored system-to-system integration. CLEAR ID Confirm can be further customized to meet an organization’s data verification needs, which may include detection of fraudulent identification credentials, assigning customized risk scores, flagging specific data, or even offering simple “yes/no” indicators to make consistent risk decisions.

“In today’s business and regulatory environment, it’s vital for an organization to have transparent access to data and a customizable solution that both enables verification of an individual’s identity and mitigates risk; CLEAR ID Confirm does just that,” said Kevin Appold, vice president of Investigations and Public Records Products with Thomson Reuters.

CLEAR ID Confirm is the latest tool in Thomson Reuters expanding menu of enterprise offerings designed to help organizations make the most informed decisions. Thomson Reuters recently announced an agreement to acquire Clarient Global LLC and Avox Limited – both leaders in the financial management and KYC space. Thomson Reuters will integrate Clarient and Avox into its portfolio of global risk management, compliance and reference data offerings.
