Thomson Reuters hosts technology unconference in Eagan, Minn.
Over 300 technologists and employees got their inner geek on at the first-ever Eagan Technology “Unconference,” held last week at the Thomson Reuters Eagan, Minn. campus.
The day followed a participatory model used by other unconferences held at various Thomson Reuters locations in St. Louis, London and Bangkok, where attendees set the agenda to create a networking event aimed at fostering innovation.
Designed by technologists for technologists, attendees participated in sessions on security, coding, development and more, facilitated by their fellow teammates. They learned about new technologies such as “the Cloud” and “Big Data Analysis,” and also participated in collaborative break-out sessions.
The unconference also featured a Technology Fair where companies and organizations including Apple, Microsoft and the Eagan High School Robotics demonstrated their gadgets.
