Last week, Thomson Reuters hosted the more than 650 technologists and employees for the Eagan Technology Unconference 2014.

Much like last year’s event, and many others hosted at Thomson Reuters sites worldwide, the Unconference was aimed at fostering innovation among employees, who were encouraged to share their expertise on key technology, data and security topics.

The day included several vendors and outside organizations, including Microsoft, HP, Samsung, and the Eagan and Eastview High School robotics teams, who offered demos to attendees.

Among the highlights of the day was a demo of Oculus Rift, a virtual reality head mounted display that is expected to see a consumer launch in 2015. IMG_2668
