As we count down the final days of 2011, we recall some of the momentous happenings in the courts during the past year.

It’s clear that 2011 was a big year for criminal trials and proceedings. As reported on the FindLaw Blotter blog, Lindsay Lohan was in and out of court (and rehab). Barry Bonds finally stood trial. Rod Blagojevich was convicted again. And polygamist leader Warren Jeffs was sentenced to life in prison. The list goes on and on…
