Thomson Reuters is hosting the SYNERGY2022 for Legal Professionals user conference Nov. 16-18. Attendees will have access to experts, resources, and tools for achieving a competitive advantage in the evolving legal industry.

As a sneak peek, Legal Current is highlighting four activities from the event, which takes place at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in the Washington, D.C., area.

  1. Personalized sessions for C-suite leaders. Part of the Executive Summit track includes a discussion on talent retention and recruitment. Speakers include Paul Fischer, president, Legal Professionals, Thomson Reuters; James Jones, senior fellow, Center for the Study of the Legal Profession, Georgetown University Law Center; and Mike Abbott, head of the Thomson Reuters Institute.
  2. Spontaneous think tank with Thomson Reuters Labs. Hear from a team of AI-focused engineers, research and data scientists, and designers who work with some of the most richly enhanced legal datasets in the world. Also, get product roadmap insights from David Wong, chief product officer, Thomson Reuters and Kriti Sharma, chief product officer for the Thomson Reuters LegalTech product portfolio. They will talk about the overall product ecosystem for legal and the Thomson Reuters legal tech vision.
  3. Government panel on sanctions. Reuters reporter Andrea Shalal, who covers the U.S. Treasury Department, will moderate a discussion with panelists including Thomson Reuters COO Brian Peccarelli; Michael Dawson, partner, Wilmer Hale, with expertise in anti-money laundering and economic Sanctions; and Lakshimi Kumar, policy director, Global Financial Integrity.
  4. Night at the museum. All attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy an evening at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. It will include a toast to the 150th anniversary of the Legal Professionals business.
