Launched in 2001, Serengeti Tracker™ is used by more than 950 in-house law departments across 192 countries and is the highest rated e-billing and matter management platform designed for corporate legal departments and law firms. This year, several improvements have been added to enhance the ease-of-use and the solution has been renamed Thomson Reuters Legal TrackerTM.

Enhancements to Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker were developed and implemented to improve the overall productivity for clients and include improvements to: the financial review page; invoice auditing process; bill-to-entity validation; revised timekeeper classification; and integration with Microsoft® Outlook®.

The financial review page is now split into two pages, featuring the budget review and accrual review allowing users to quickly provide edits or approval minimizing the navigation between multiple pages. The invoice auditing process enables clients to make calculation configurations with multiple options incorporating the entire phase of the budget or to receive a percentage-to-budget alert. Additional integration with Outlook offers users the ability to open matters and view details without leaving the reading pane. Users also can easily transfer or copy files via drag-and-drop to the Tracker for Outlook add-in.

Serengeti Tracker Renamed

Aside from a new name and a refreshed “look and feel,” there will be no immediate change to the user experience. Long term, we will continue Legal Tracker’s trajectory of innovation, growth and product enhancement to meet customers’ needs, both now and in the future.

“Over the past 15 years, Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker has rapidly become the world’s go-to matter management system for in-house legal teams,” said Eric Ruud, managing director of Legal Enterprise Solutions at Thomson Reuters. “It is essential that Legal Tracker continues this trajectory of innovation and growth by ensuring it is best positioned in every market around the globe, as well as clearly aligned within the comprehensive suite of legal solutions offered by Thomson Reuters.”

“Adopting the name Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker is a natural evolution for this pioneering solution,” added Ruud. “Looking ahead, we see a very bright future for Legal Tracker as it continues to reinforce its market-leading position and remains at the cutting edge of the industry.”
