Fueled by her witness to and personal experience with discrimination, Dean Okianer Christian Dark channeled her sorrow and anger into action serving as lifelong role model of, and champion for, justice and equal rights in the public sector, private sector, and today as a teacher, mentor and dean at Howard University School of Law.

This evening, Dean Dark will be awarded the 2014 Liberty Achievement Award by the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance Practice Section and sponsored by Thomson Reuters, which was developed to recognize and honor the distinction in the service to diversity in the law, and how our world is made better in these efforts.
