One year later, WestlawNext returns to LegalTech with a lot of momentum
A year after a big launch at LegalTech New York 2010, the WestlawNext team is talking to LegalTech attendees about the innovations that have become part of the service this past year – from a WestlawNext mobile site designed to work well on all smartphones, to an iPad app and research-sharing capabilities that enable firms and law departments to tap into the collective knowledge of their entire organizations quickly and easily. The team is also discussing the enormous momentum that WestlawNext has built during the past 12 months.
In the year since its launch, more than 15,000 law firms; corporate law departments; and law departments in federal, state and local government organizations have upgraded to WestlawNext, including 33 percent of Am Law 100 law firms. Also, more than 1,400 corporate law departments have upgraded to WestlawNext, including those from 20 percent of Fortune 100 companies, and WestlawNext is available in 97 percent of ABA-accredited law schools as well.
In a brief video interview, Legal Current chatted with Stephanie Fox, director of New Product Development for WestlawNext, about changes in the service over the past year and what she’s been hearing from customers who have helped make WestlawNext the fastest-selling major product in the business’s history.
