Nominations are now open for the 12th annual William L. Norton, Jr. Judicial Excellence Award, created by Thomson Reuters and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), which recognizes bankruptcy judges dedicated to service of the insolvency community.

The award, named for former bankruptcy judge and longtime West author William L. Norton, Jr., is presented at the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ) annual meeting in San Antonio on Oct. 28-31, 2018. Nominees will have distinguished him or herself as an educator, writer or scholar, and will be selected from a pool of nominees by a committee of six outstanding bankruptcy attorneys. Thomson Reuters presents a commemorative plaque to the recipient and donates $10,000 to the ABI Endowment for Education in the recipient’s name.
