This week marks the return of the Legal Geek Conference in London, bringing together law firm leaders, general counsel, investors, policymakers, startups and innovators. Day One of the conference on Oct. 5 will focus on thought leadership, while Day Two, Oct. 6, is billed as the interactive day.

Thomson Reuters speakers will share their insights in three Legal Geek sessions, and below is a preview of their talks.

Steve Fullerton, senior product manager, Thomson Reuters, will host HighQ Contract Analysis: The next revolution in contract review and analysis on Oct. 5. He’ll explore how HighQ Contract Analysis helps legal professionals with the time-consuming contract review and analysis process by going beyond the typical extraction of key facts to answering legal questions. Fullerton also will cover how HighQ Contract Analysis incorporates the expertise of Practical Law editors.

In addition, Andrew Fletcher, director of Thomson Reuters Labs, will host a TED-style talk titled Back to the Future … of LegalTech on Oct. 5. Fletcher will look back at the promise of legal tech when Legal Geek launched in 2016 and explore some of the technology capabilities being delivered by Thomson Reuters Labs.

Finally, four Thomson Reuter colleagues – Johannes Schleith, lead designer; David Rawson, director, Product Management; Sophie Baugh, client success manager, Platform; and Cassi Waddy, director, Product Management – will host the When the Contract is a Cake workshop. Their “contract cooking class” will look at contractual ingredients, recipes in the document lifecycle, various courses of a HighQ menu, an AI delicatessen and Contract (Express) baking.
