The 9th annual Clawbies were announced on Dec. 31, 2014, and Legal Feeds, the daily news blog of Canadian Lawyer and Law Times, was named the top legal news blog in Canada. Legal Feeds has either been a winner or runner up in the news category since it was launched in Dec. 2010.

Gail Cohen, editor-in-chief of the blog, said, “I believe our win was due to our excellent coverage that provides a broad spectrum of stories that are well written and of consequence to our target audience of Canadian lawyers, in-house counsel, judges, law students, and academics.”

Nominations for the Clawbies were submitted from lawyers and law bloggers across Canada by blog post or by tweet. That list was supplemented by selections from the three judges: Steve Matthews, Jordan Furlong, and Simon Fodden. And that’s how the winners were decided.

If you’ve not had a chance to check out the best Canadian legal news blog, now’s the perfect time.
