Derwent World Patents Index® (DWPISM), the world’s most trusted and authoritative patent database from Thomson Reuters, recently reached a historic milestone when it registered its 20 millionth invention, demonstrating that the pace of innovation is accelerating.

The 20 millionth invention in DWPI, “MY 140727A,” was filed by a Malaysian oil and marine service company, IEV Group. The latest invention is a testament to the increased coverage and enhancements of Asia-Pacific patents in DWPI, which include:

– Granted patents from Malaysia

– Granted patents from Thailand

– Granted patents and utility models from the Philippines

– Patent applications and granted patents from Vietnam

– Patent applications and utility models from Russia
