With a show floor packed with helicopters, police cars, weapons, drones, investigative products and more, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) is one of the more diverse trade shows on the Thomson Reuters calendar. And this year, representatives from the Fraud Prevention & Investigation and Government segment of Thomson Reuters came with their own gadgets to showcase.

Law enforcement personnel and attendees were treated to a demonstration of CLEAR in Context, a beta test that brings the CLEAR investigative suite to Google Glass, the Android smart watch and phone.

When you consider how technology has changed in the law enforcement space in the last decade – laptops in cars, cell phones, dash and body cameras – wearable technology signals a logical next step in that evolution.

“We may still be in the proof of concept stage, but we have heard a lot of great feedback from law enforcement during the show,” said Kate Boeckman, product manager, Wearable & Emerging Product Technologies for Thomson Reuters.

Stay tuned for more on CLEAR in Context over the coming months.
