While the holidays are top of mind for most people right now, arguably the latest installment of the Star Wars saga – Star Wars: The Force Awakens – is a close second. Christopher King, editor of stateofinnovation.thomsonreuters.com, compiled a list of the most cited academic studies that note the Star Wars saga, including research from a U.S. and Japanese team that produced a nano-sized version of a TIE Fighter – a design that can also harvest energy from light – to another study that looks at whether Jawas are kleptomaniacs, hoarders or both.
