The 2012 Elite and ProLaw User Conferences began with executive leaders from Thomson Reuters Elite highlighting news of recently products and services, and discussing what’s to come.

Kim Massana, president, kicked things off by setting the rallying cry for this year’s conference: Extend Your Advantage. Thomson Reuters Elite is focused on helping customers build and extend an advantage in the marketplace – whether that is in the traditional core of financial management software or beyond in business development, matter or risk management, or whole-firm management. “Seamless operation of your business is our priority,” said Massana. “Every challenge you face is a challenge we face together.”

Cary Burch, chief operating officer, and Eric Sugden, chief technology officer, extended the message with overviews of the new 3E Mobile app which is currently in beta, Mattersphere 5.0 and enhanced mobility with ProLaw XII, along with a vision of what is to come: Elite Workspace.

Elite Workspace is an integrated application that will provide a role-specific view of key performance indicators to help everyone view and follow how their work is contributing to the overall health of the business. For instance, associates can easily see and enter their billable hours and partners can approve requests on the go.

And watch for the new user community from Elite that invites you into the product development process and connects you with other Elite users. “This is a great way for you to participate in the future of our products,” Sugden said.

The keynote presentation closed with the launch of the new logo and brand, Thomson Reuters Elite, unifying the tools customers need for business development, risk management, firm management, and client and matter management. Burch said, “We are constantly asking ourselves, ‘What else can we do to help you be more efficient?’” The entire Elite organization is focused on answering that question, with integration, new and improved mobility, and enhanced capabilities that will help firms grow and manage their business.
