Disaster Preparedness and Response CLE series hosts writing competition for law students
With the Disaster Preparedness and Response CLE (continuing legal education) series kicking off in less than a month, the American Bar Association (ABA) Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS), in partnership with Thomson Reuters, is announcing a unique way for students to get involved. A special Law Student Writing Competition will coincide with the four TIPS meetings throughout 2011-2012 and will be focused around different Disaster Preparedness and Response session topics.
Two law schools from each of the cities where the meetings are hosted will be invited to participate. A winning essay will be chosen at each meeting, and winners will be announced at a reception following the Disaster Preparedness and Response series. Winners will receive a cash award, a certificate and publication of their essay.
