Yesterday, the law’s smartest and most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries and leaders were recognized in the Fastcase 50.  We were thrilled to see Anne Ellis, senior director, Librarian Relations at Thomson Reuters, on that list. According to her bio on the Fastcase site, “great service is all about relationships, and nobody has better relationships.” This describes Anne’s approach to the librarian community.  Throughout her 30 years in the industry, she has cultivated relationships like a master gardener tends roses. We know Anne is one in a million, and we are delighted that the industry has recognized this as well.

We also were touched to see Dwight Opperman recognized in memorium. DDO, as he was known by employees, was not only an ace attorney-editor, but also the visionary and driving force behind Westlaw. He will be remembered as someone who knew your name, and what you worked on, and could recall this upon meeting a month, a year, or years later. We are proud his innovative spirit is being recognized on the 2013 Fastcase 50 this year, as well.
