Anatomy of a Decision: Enterprise Legal Management
As legal departments face mounting pressures to reduce their legal spend, manage costs and demonstrate value to the organization, enterprise legal management (ELM) systems are more and more in the fore as a key player to address those challenges.
Blue Hill Research recently produced an “Anatomy of a Decision” report titled Selection of Thomson Reuters Serengeti for Legal Spend and Matter Management. The report highlights the value Serengeti Tracker provides to legal departments through process efficiency, as well as visibility and data-driven insight.
Authored by Principal Analyst David Houlihan, the report participants consisted of three enterprises with revenues ranging between $1 billion and $100 billion. Seven factors were identified in the evaluation of solutions sought by the organizations: scope of capabilities; ease of use – internal users; ease of invoice submission; ease and speed of deployment; configurability of reporting; customer support; and solution cost.
“Overall, the participants found that Serengeti [Tracker] offered an optimal balance of flexibility, ease of use and deployment, and reliable functionality, providing the best value-to-cost ratio of the solutions evaluated,” stated Houlihan in the report.
