Action in DC this week
Thomson Reuters, in partnership with the American Health Association, sponsored the “Lawyers Have Heart” 5k and 10k run this week in Washington DC. A Thomson Reuters team, led by Steve Rubley, managing director of the Government segment, competed in the 5K.
“Thomson Reuters has been a long-time supporter of the legal community in the Washington DC area,” said Rubley. “We’re honored to be able to assist our customers practicing law in the Federal Government, law firms, and corporate law departments as they continue their legacy of commitment to the American Heart Association.”
And on Thursday, June 13, Thomson Reuters will host a special customer event at the United States Institute of Peace. The Virtual Economy Symposium will explore virtual currencies such as Bitcoin and the positive impact on society as well as potential challenges to law enforcement.
This conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a keynote reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. with sociologist, author and unorthodox field researcher, Sudhir Venkatesh, giving a keynote address on Leadership Secrets to Performing in High Risk Situations.
