Congratulations to Kate Boeckman, head of specialty content management within global content operations for Thomson Reuters, on her appointment to the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors.

The chamber works to develop, support and advocate for the business community across Dakota County. The organization also provides networking and support services to help businesses thrive.

Boeckman described the perspective she brings to the board.

“I am very future-focused both at work and at home, especially when it comes to ways that technology can make life better,” she explained. “I really enjoy thinking about what people are going to be wanting or needing 5, 10 and 15-plus years down the road and then working through the risks and benefits of what that might bring. I believe this perspective will be valuable as we work together to cultivate vibrant regional and local communities.”

She said her Dakota County roots make this role especially meaningful, personally and professionally.

“I grew up in Mendota Heights and am now raising my own family in Inver Grove Heights,” she said. “My kids attend Rosemount and Eagan schools, and I have worked in Eagan for over 15 years. I am thrilled to now have the opportunity to help shape the future of Dakota County. I truly want to see Dakota County thrive, and I am excited to help to make it a place where people want to live, work and play!”

Thomson Reuters is proud to partner with area businesses to benefit the local community and to employ people whose leadership skills and innovation, R&D and technology expertise can help advance the business community.
