Dec. 2, 2016 marks the one year anniversary of the attack on the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, Calif. With that community and the nation reflecting on the tragic events that left 14 people dead and another 22 injured, we also remember the hard work of the San Bernardino Police Department and the other first responders who took action that day in the midst of a dangerous and rapidly changing scenario. As a result of their resourcefulness and dedication, Thomson Reuters named the SBPD the recipient of its fifth annual Everyday Heroes Award.

ABC’s news magazine, Nightline, recently ran an in-depth piece on the events of Dec. 2, 2015, featuring interviews with SBPD Chief Jarrod Burguan and Sgt. Gary Schuelke, as well as former SBPD analyst Daani Svonkin. We are proud that the story acknowledges the role played by Thomson Reuters CLEAR – the investigative platform the SBPD used to identify and locate the shooting suspects.
