Nationally renowned author, professor, attorney and IP Hall of Famer J. Thomas McCarthy, celebrates 40 years as a Thomson Reuters Westlaw author in 2013. McCarthy has been the recipient of many prestigious awards, including the 2012 Intellectual Asset Management’s Intellectual Property Hall of Fame, and is also founding director of the University of San Francisco’s McCarthy Institute for Intellectual Property and Technology Law which was named in his honor and where he taught for 36 years.
