Heroes come in many forms. From an investigation that reclaims a widow’s stolen savings, to finding a singular address that leads to stopping a violent shooting suspect –  stories like these are the inspiration behind the Thomson Reuters Everyday Heroes award program.

Each year, Thomson Reuters asks its customers to share their stories of how Thomson Reuters investigative solutions – including CLEAR, PeopleMap, Company Investigator or Batch Services – help make a difference in their community or profession.

For 2016, the award program is being expanded, Finalists will be selected from each of three customer segments – government/law enforcement, corporations and law firms. Thomson Reuters will donate $10,000 on behalf of each finalist to select non-profit organizations. Previously, a $5,000 donation was made across all customer segments.

The 2015 winner, the San Bernardino Police Department, selected the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund as the recipient of the charitable donation.
