This week, Thomson Reuters in Canada was listed by Great Place to Work Institute Canada to their 2017 Best Workplaces in Canada list. The annual list identifies organizations that embody innovation, collaboration and productivity

“I am so proud to be a part of our tremendous Canadian community and grateful that our employees are so engaged and supportive of our service to our Legal, Tax, Financial Services and Media customers. I thank our employees for making us a Best Workplace,” said Neil Sternthal, managing director, Legal & Tax,  Canada, Australia, & New Zealand.

The Best Workplaces in Canada list is compiled by the Great Place to Work Institute Canada. Organizations are evaluated through an extensive scoring process based on a 58-statement survey completed by a random selection of employees – along with their open-ended comments about their organization – and an in-depth review of the organization’s culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures. The goal is to develop a rigorous representation of the organization from the employee perspective and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a great place to work: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
