James Jarvis, senior director, New Product Development at Thomson Reuters, recently published an article in Metropolitan Corporate Counsel magazine. In the article, titled “Are you enabling technology or is it enabling you?” Jarvis discusses how law firms want to increase efficiency and effectiveness, and there are growing pressures to adopt technology to achieve those efficiencies without sacrificing quality. The effect of this pressure, says Jarvis, is not efficiency and effectiveness, but rather, fatigue, leading to an unintentional refusal and inability to adopt new technology.
