New tools and integration capabilities from Firm Central are now available. The new enhancements enable attorneys to securely communicate and share documents with clients; synchronize time and billing, as well as accounting practices; and tap into the “know how” of Practical Law – all within the Firm Central dashboard. Moreover, Firm Central users will now be able to use their personal documents to establish their own document-assembly process. New enhancements include:

  • Secure communications: The new Client Portal enables practitioners and their clients to share documents securely and communicate directly within Firm Central. The communications are organized by matter for greater time and data management. Clients enter a portal to receive documents and communications, with the knowledge that security and ease of use are priorities.
  • Time tracking and billing synchronization: Integrating Time and Billing with QuickBooks creates a seamless interchange to synchronize law firm accounting data, track and process time and expense data, and simplify the overall billing process.
  • Know How: Solo and small firm practitioners now have expert resources built into Firm Central from Practical Law. Practical Law’s expert attorney editors provide practice notes, checklists and other know-how content, quickly accessible from the Firm Central dashboard.
  • Customizable data streams: Practitioners with time-tested, customized forms now have the ability to enhance their templates in Form Builder and upload and save these forms within Firm Central, where they can be easily shared with clients and stored within the matter.

In the brief video clip below, Stephanie Fox, director of Product Strategy for Small Law Firm Product Marketing, goes into great detail about these new enhancements and the benefits to customers.
