Last Friday, a Twin Cities-based Reuters journalist, David Bailey, sat down with a television reporter from southern Brazil, Mayra Pereira Chagas, who was touring our Eagan facility as part of the 2011 Rotary International Group Study Exchange, hosted by the Eagan Rotary.

Over quiche, salad and flourless chocolate torte, the two discussed their profession, and the shared challenges and unique experiences involved in the practice of informing the public in very different parts of the world.

Earlier that morning, Chagas, who hails from Cascavel, a large city in the Brazilian state of Parana, enjoyed a hot beverage from our very own Caribou Coffee shop, made friends with a festive cafeteria employee and explored the studios of E-TV, Eagan’s public access television station that makes its home in our building’s lower floor.
